What did the implementation change?
On October 17, 2026, we checked Lokal Tayo’s own WordPress website and repaired its metadata, sitemap and internal links. The final crawl covered 31 published pages. This case study documents that work and a dated Google mobile lab test.
The website belongs to Lokal Tayo. The evidence below describes technical checks; it does not establish a change in search rankings, AI citations, inquiries or revenue.
The problems and the resulting checks
| Area | What changed | Verified result |
|---|---|---|
| Metadata | Consolidated descriptions under the SEO plugin and removed duplicate output. | 26 of the 31 checked pages had duplicate descriptions before the file fixes; the final crawl found none. |
| Sitemap | Enabled the XML sitemap and corrected article locations. | The sitemap index returned HTTP 200 and listed 31 canonical page and article URLs. |
| Internal linking | Added contextual implementation links to existing guides and connected services to relevant reading. | 34 links added across 17 original articles. The checked destinations returned HTTP 200 without redirects. |
| Page structure | Checked canonicals, headings, indexing controls and breadcrumbs. | All 31 checked pages had one H1 and a canonical URL. All 30 non-home pages had visible breadcrumbs. |
| Footer images | Converted three PNG images to lossless WebP copies without changing their content. | Combined size reduced from 1,353,785 bytes to 77,702 bytes, about 94% smaller. |
What did Google’s mobile test measure?
The canonical HTTPS homepage was tested on October 17, 2026 at 5:44 PM Philippine time using PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse 13.5.0, an emulated Moto G Power and Slow 4G throttling.
| Metric | Recorded value |
|---|---|
| Performance score | 96 / 100 |
| SEO audit score | 100 / 100 |
| First Contentful Paint | 1.8 seconds |
| Largest Contentful Paint | 1.9 seconds |
| Total Blocking Time | 0 milliseconds |
| Cumulative Layout Shift | 0.008 |
| Speed Index | 4.1 seconds |

LCP measures when the largest visible content element renders. It is separate from complete page-load time. Other hosting-provider lab runs varied from 85 to 96 during deployment. This recorded test is a snapshot, not a guarantee for every page, device, network or visitor.
How were the site checks performed?
- Fetched the published page URLs and checked their HTTP responses, description tags, H1 headings, canonical links and robots directives.
- Followed internal links from the homepage to identify unreachable pages within the checked set.
- Verified the newly added article links and their destination responses.
- Parsed structured-data JSON, checked entity identifiers and compared breadcrumbs with visible pages.
- Reviewed the homepage, WordPress SEO service and SEO checklist at a 390 × 844 viewport for horizontal overflow and the appropriate form service selection.
The audit covered the published URLs present at that time. It was not a penetration test, a full accessibility audit or a measurement of every possible URL. Search Console had not yet collected sufficient real-user Core Web Vitals data for the site.
What does this mean for a business website?
SEO implementation can include correcting technical output and making it easier for a customer to find a relevant service and take the next step. It also needs clear limits: a clean technical audit does not prove demand, a ranking improvement or a successful sales process.
Our WordPress SEO implementation service explains the work that can be scoped. If the website needs a new structure or a rebuild, review WordPress development and the project brief checklist.
